We invite alumni to return for a second summer to deepen their technical skills, reconnect with the community, and help shape future AstroTech programming. Returners gain fresh insights, test new curriculum, and expand their professional network—all without the pressure of being a designated team “leader.”

Selection Criteria: We welcome applicants who are dedicated to their own professional growth and enthusiastic about enriching the community. Ideal candidates demonstrate:

• Career Progress: Sustained interest and active steps toward a career in astronomical instrumentation since prior participation.

• Skill Application: Strong commitment to practicing AstroTech core values—technical excellence, inclusive teamwork, and active networking.

• Proven Engagement: High professionalism and active participation during past AstroTech attendance.

Financial Support: AstroTech is entirely free for all participants. Thanks to generous funding from the Heising-Simons Foundation, all accepted returning participants receive a full fee waiver along with financial support covering travel and lodging accommodations.
